OUR STORY

Maple Counter Cafe

Our Story

Three generations of restaurant tradition, handcrafted food and a family passion for creating memorable meals.

A Family Tradition

Three Generations
Around The Table.

The Maple Counter Cafe brings together three generations of restaurant experience. What began with a family restaurant in Chicago more than 35 years ago has grown into a tradition of handcrafted breakfasts, lunches and genuine hospitality.

Our Beginning

A Passion Passed From Generation To Generation.

Inspired by the family restaurant tradition and by The Oak Table Cafe in Sequim, Washington, Kory and Rachel proudly continue a family passion for food and hospitality.

From the beginning, the goal has remained simple: create a business that treats quality, food and the customer experience with the care they deserve.

What Matters To Us

Quality Is Never An Afterthought.

Every detail matters, from the ingredients that enter the kitchen to the experience you have at the table.

01

Made From Scratch

Batters, syrups and toppings are thoughtfully prepared using traditional recipes and fresh ingredients.

02

Fresh Ingredients

Fresh eggs, real cream, quality butter and carefully selected ingredients help create the food our guests remember.

03

Local Community

Locally baked breads, nearby produce and quality meats help us support our community while serving food with real freshness.

Made The Old-Fashioned Way

Great Food Takes Time And Special Care.

Our kitchen starts early each morning preparing batters from recipes that have been treasured for generations.

We do not rely on packaged mixes. Our batters are carefully blended by hand using ingredients such as unbleached hard wheat flour, fresh eggs and real cream.

A traditional sourdough process helps create the light, fine-textured pancakes that have become part of the Maple Counter experience.

Fresh & Local

Freshness You Can Taste.

Fresh ingredients are central to the way we cook. Our juices are freshly squeezed in the kitchen, and local sourcing remains an important part of serving both our guests and the Walla Walla community.

By using locally baked breads, fresh produce from nearby farms and quality meats from around the area, we are able to bring freshness directly to the table.
